Youla: Russians start reselling new iPhones after official sales
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Russians started reselling new iPhone smartphones just after official sales were launched on Friday, first advertisements appeared already in the morning, a spokesperson for free classifieds service Youla told PRIME.
Sales of the iPhone XS with a starting price of 87,990 rubles and the iPhone XS Max with a starting price of 96,900 rubles started in Russia on Friday. Retailers began to accept pre-orders for these models on September 21.
“Having received the phones in their hands, Russians rushed to resell the phones on Youla. First advertisements appeared in the morning. As last year, many sellers have several copies of phones in hands and try to confirm their availability with relevant photos,” the spokesperson said.
The most active models being put for resale are the iPhone XS with a memory of 256 gigabytes (GB) and 64 GB, while the model with a memory of 512 GB with the official price of 127,990 rubles is not very popular.
Unlike last year, this year sellers are ready to sell the phones with a minimum mark-up. The average mark-up on Youla amounts to 5,500 rubles.
